A Gentle Answer

June 20, 2018

Description: In order to treat others with gentleness, we must first experience God’s gentleness toward us. In part 2 of 4 on Gentleness, Seth Dahl shares his journey of experiencing God’s gentleness which then allowed him to give it to others. Scripture Focus: Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath.” Key point: We cannot be gentle on our own, we have to experience the gentleness of God first in order to give it away. Question: If you’re not seeing gentleness coming out of your life, if you’re not turning away wrath with the gentleness inside of you, do you need Him to hold you? Challenge: Take some time and allow God to be gentle to you, so that you can then be gentle to other people. Quotes: “I don’t want to match people where they’re at. Lord, I want your gentleness to be seen through me.” “Treat them with the gentleness God treated you with.”
