Poverty, Riches & Wealth
When we live in poverty of soul, our perceived unworthiness, rooted in our lack of self-love, is kind of like turning two magnets in the repelling direction. Although the repelling force is invisible, it is nonetheless a powerful and viable deterrent to any connection. Loving yourself is the key to a prosperous soul, which is the foundation for becoming wealthy and healthy in every area of your life.
Most people would say that rich and wealthy are synonymous terms that can be used interchangeably in a sentence. That may hold true in your average dictionary, but it won't hold true in this week's lesson. By the end, you'll understand why this lesson is titled "Many are Rich; Few are Wealthy."
God intends for legacies to evolve. Each generation should be joined to the previous one, to build upon that one's accomplishments. In the same way, each generation ought to be jointed to the future one, to leave something bigger and better to build upon.
Being a born-again believer is incredibly advantageous. Once we have the Holy Spirit living inside us and the mind of Christ at work in us, our thinking and perspective immediately become limitless. New possibilities open up, and creativity and innovation influence our vision for the future.
God has given each of us something to steward, something to invest, or talent to grow for the sake of the Kingdom. Regardless of "how much" you may have, you have something to bring to the world! It does not matter how little or how much you have; what matters is is what you do with what you have been given.
Mindsets, perspectives, worldviews, core values-they all rub off. The people closest to you exert the most influence over you in these important areas, and you over them. It only makes sense, then, to choose carefully and prayerfully whom you let into your life, because "he who walks with wise men will be wise."
